MANUELA KOENIG is an architect, project manager, exhibition designer, researcher and writer. Her approach spans across disciplines - from small renovation projects to complex and large-scale (cultural) projects. Since establishing her freelance and independent practice in 2022 in Berlin, her clients include S AM Basel, PMS AG - Büro für Planung und Steuerung, Prof. Davide Spina | University of Hong Kong, Lichtenberg District Office in Berlin, Geschichts- und Heimatverein Gusow-Platkow e.V., WE ARE M2 in Singapur, as well as further private clients.
Manuela Koenig studied architecture at the University of Siegen and the Staten Academy of Arts in Stuttgart. From 2014 to 2022, she worked at various architectural firms in Berlin and Stuttgart, including HG Merz | merz merz Architekten, MEKADO Architekten and 4a Architekten. In 2019, she completed the continuing education program curatorial studies at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) and in 2025 the Master of Advanced Studies in History and Theory of Architecture, MAS gta ETH, at ETH Zurich. Since 2021 she is a member in the Chamber of Architects Berlin.
